Mount Tabor English School, Meppadi is a co-educational English school managed by the Order of Sisters of Sacred Transfiguration registered under the Public Trust Act of Kerala no. 56/1994. It is a charitable society with the aim to impart sound education to develop the Physical, Mental, Aesthetic and Moral Values of the Children. Our educational methodology brings out the innate talents of the students, provides them a systematic and disciplined life and to enlighten their mind with spiritual ideologies . At present the school has classes from Montessori Junior to Class X.

We the Taborians have initiated our religious and educational endeavors in a beautiful place called Meppadi, With its own dream-like serenity Mount Tabor English School located in the Heart of Meppadi is surrounded by meadows, trees, Chembra peak and tea gardens. Meppadi is a hot spot for tourists due to its visual treat. These characteristic traits make Meppadi the most suitable place for serious studies and relaxation.

His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius

The life of His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius is a source of inspiration for all of us in the family of Mount Tabor. His Grace was a pioneer in the educational field of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. More than five decades back, His Grace laid the foundation for a Religo-Educational Centre at Pathanapuram at a beautiful hillock which he christened as ‘Mount Tabor’ which actually transformed “KATTUPATHANAPURAM” to “NATTUPATHANAPRAM”.

His Grace was a student of Christ Church College in the Oxford University during 1937-39,He was college and best friend of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, former President of India. Form 1940 onwards he was the Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese of the Orthodox Church and continued in the same ecclesiastical post for 32 years till his demise on 3rd December 1972. Besides being an ecclesiastical Episcopal leader, he was also a versatile social leader, philanthropist, humanist and educationalist. He had started large number of educational institutions, hospital and orphanages for the social welfare of the society.

After the demise of His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius, his successor the most reverent Thomas Mar Themotheos became the superior and later became the Catholicose of the East, as named His Holiness Moran Mar Baselious Mar Thoma Didimos assumed as the superior of the institution.
